According to the Law of Ukraine «On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on settlement of overdue debts during martial law in Ukraine», the protected category of citizens include:
- armed forces personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations and special law enforcement agencies formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, State special transport service, State special communication and information protection service of Ukraine, who are performing military service on the territory of Ukraine;
- armed forces personnel who became disabled as a result of an illness related to military service, or as a result of an illness after they were discharged from military service related to the performance of military service;
- family members of fallen, deceased or missing armed forces personnel;
- persons in captivity, persons with whom the contact is lost, persons missing;
Documents to be submitted to confirm the appropriate category:
- for armed forces personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations and special law enforcement agencies formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, State special transport service, State special communication and information protection service of Ukraine, who are performing military service on the territory of Ukraine, - certificate in the form established by Appendix No. 2 to this Law, signed by the commander (chief, head) or the person replacing him/her, of the relevant structural subdivision where such armed forces personnel serves, or the head of the territorial center for recruitment and social support, which has taken measures to conscript the consumer for military service, a stamped. It is allowed to draw up the certificate in handwritten form;
- for armed forces personnel who became disabled as a result of an illness related to military service, or as a result of an illness after they were discharged from military service related to the performance of military service, - disabled veteran's certificate;
- family members of fallen or deceased armed forces personnel, - Certificate of a family member of a deceased;
- for persons in captivity, persons with whom the contact is lost, persons missing, for family members of armed forces personnel missing, - information provided by the state enterprise performing the functions of the National Information Bureau that a person is held captive or held hostage by the aggressor state, or is listed in the registry as one with whom contact has been lost or is missing.
